The exhibition Wander Lines invites you to step into the worlds of fourcontemporary artists.

On the ground floor, pure emotion explodes in the delicate traces of Sarah Knill-Jones and Hadrien Loumaye; two painters on the edge of abstraction, for whom intellectual inspiration is rendered physical with rapid and powerful gestures, swirling line and flamboyant colours.

A few steps down we enter the intimately subversive, rubbing shoulders with radical refinement, the drawings of Lou Neveux Pardijon and Guillaume Boubé, each with strong cultural identities and socio-political commitment, making this below ground space an interpretation of the platonic cave.

The furtive or profound gestures and interlacing traces that we call wandering lines, are renderings of journeys. Internal journeys transcribed in the artists’ works. What about these meanderings ? Are they are plotting routes for these artists or intended to identify with us spectators? In any case they invite us to follow them on their paths of thought and creation. It is on these traces of humanity that they invite us along their lines of wonderment.
