Hannah Rollings
Hannah Rollings is a British painter, illustrator, researcher and teacher. In 2014, she began a PhD at Kingston University in collaboration with The London Doctoral Design Centre (LDoc), which took root in the representation of trees, through work on natural history books for children. Her fascination with nature was to have a major impact on her practice, between abstraction and representation, as she experimented with painting in the open air. This reconnection with nature allows her to connect with her environment through an immersive pictorial experience, exploring an emotional response to colour and mark-making.
