Lou Neveux-Pardijon
The notion of intimacy is at the core of my artistic practice. My drawings offer a delicate look on the interiority of imaginary characters.
Everyday gestures and domestic spaces reveal their stories, multiple and fragmented. Through these portraits of solitude, I want to unveil the vulnerability of my subjects, without exposing them. As their slightly quirky appearance suggests, they are a little lost, left on their own.
They oscillate between a childlike sincerity and an adult seriousness, reflecting the ambiguity of the end of adolescence. My work is anchored in a narrative approach, illustrated by figurative compositions full of symbols. This process enables me to create psychological portraits inviting the viewer to project themselves and identify with them.
